Purple Cherry Blossom Tapestry Frame

 

This is a very beautiful cloth that I purchased from my Japanese supplier when I visited them in Japan about 5 years ago. There was only 1 Meter of this cloth left, and it was so beautiful that I had to purchase it. It is a pure silk cloth, called Shoken in Japanese. It is finished with some unique cream glazed ceramic jikusaki and a light purple hanging string. 

There is only enough cloth to make 2 other tapestry frames, one 8x10 and one 5x7. It is hard to see but this is the light blue cloth with a pattern called Nomi in Japanese. This holds a 3.5 x 5 photograph. This was sold as a Christmas present and shipped on December 16th.
