This is a painting of a fly whisk and staff by the artist Hakuin Ekaku, which was part of the Sanso collection. You can read more about this artist at the following link. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hakuin_Ekaku This is a print of the original that was owned. It was done in a two step scroll style, with a green kinran as the chuumawashi and a brown Mandala pattern for the Ten/Chi. It has Fuutai.
This is one of my favorite paintings in the collection because of the simple nature of the painting theme, but the complex use of Haboku techniques, to visualize the different objects.
