This was an order from the Salt Lake Nihon Matsuri. It took about a month and 1 week to finish the scroll. The customer wanted the scroll that had their last name DeAngelis as an anniversary gift. This is the last of this Crane cloth that I have. The crane is a symbol of a good, long lasting marriage in Japanese culture. Very appropriate. The calligraphy was done by my wife Yoshimi "Ryugyoku" Maples. It is finished with ivory plastic jikusaki and the Kodai Saniro Hanging string.
