Dee Teller #8 - Woven Moon

This is the eighth kakejiku or wallscroll in a series for an exhibition by artist Dee Teller. You can purchase her art at the website provided.  It is titled woven moon.

As I was contemplating this scroll, I wanted something that would push the purple background to the forefront, but still display the painting of the moon and the tree. The silver chuumawashi with the large Karakusa (arabesque) pattern seemed to do that while the gold Ten and Chi really seems to soften the painting to the viewers eye. It is a similar style I used on this piece of a cloudy moon. http://wallscroll.blogspot.com/2012/04/bonsai-scroll-order.html

This scroll is completed with a black jikusaki that has a gold ring around the outer edge, and a Usu Kincha Hanging String. I am really happy with the way this scroll turned out.
