Purple Cherry Blossom Tapestry Frame

This is a very beautiful cloth that I purchased from my Japanese supplier when I visited them in Japan about 5 years ago. There was only 1 Meter of this cloth left, and it was so beautiful that I had to purchase it. It is a pure silk cloth, called Shoken in Japanese. It is finished with some unique cream glazed ceramic jikusaki and a light purple hanging string.

There is only enough cloth to make 2 other tapestry frames, one 8x10 and one 5x7. If you would like to purchase this cloth for your Tapestry Frame before it is gone forever, contact to info@tapestryframe.com or text to 801-214-4064. If you do not like this cloth but would like a different cloth to frame your photos, please contact as well and we will get you what you like! This is an alternative way to hang your photos.

Kakejiku Work week of 10/11-10/16

This is a video of some of the wallscrolls I am working on this week. The first is a Tapestry Frame that holds a 5x7 photograph. This is an alternative way to do photo framing. Many of you may think, why does he put a blank photograph in the wallscroll, because I want you to be able to envision you inserting your own photograph into the Tapestry Frame. It is easy to do.

Don't you think this customer selected an elegant cloth? I do. You can download my cloth selections on my website at www.tapestryframe.com This particular cloth is YG6034, and is called Shin Kinran Chuumawashi in Japanese. The gold thread actually looks like gold filament.

Some might say these Japanese cloths are not my thing. That's OK, I was at JoAnn store the other day and there are cloths of all colors and patterns that I could make one of your choosing just for you. Maybe you like Harry Potter, or a particular superhero. If you can find the cloth I can make this frame for you. It will be your very own. This is a link to some of my limited edition Halloween cloths for this year. THEY GLOW IN THE DARK!

If you have questions please email to me at info@tapestryframe.com or call me at 801-214-4064.

Two 3 x 5 Photo Frame Wallscrolls

These two wallscrolls that act as a picture frame are made with silks. These wallscrolls allow one to quickly and easily change photos. These particular scrolls hold portrait photos that are 3.5 inches wide by 5 inches long. This allows anyone to:
1. Quickly take the kakejiku or wallscroll off the wall and hang it in a new location.

3. Photos can be changed in less than a minute, providing the opportunity to put different pictures in the frame to help set a mood or ambiance to any room.

Scroll acting as Picture Frame

The photo on the left is of a scroll that is framing a 5x7 blank cardstock. It can be used to hang photos, which can be changed out simply and in less than a minute.

The size of this scroll is about 6" wide by 3 feet long. It is made with a silk blue intermediate cloth and a bronze top/bottom cloth. It is completed with black plastic jikusaki (rollers on the bottom, and a dark gold hanging string.

I am introducing a new way to frame pictures. I think it will catch on because of the following benfits. 1. Photos can be replaced in less than a minute. 2. The scroll frames are easy to maintain, transport, move and rehang. 3. It is an inexpensive alternative, that in many ways is more elegant and will be unique to how others hang their photos.
You supply your own pictures and you can change them out as often as you would like. Pricing for this scroll is $50.00, which includes taxes and shipping to the US. If you have any questions please contact to sales@customjapanesecalligraphy.com

Wedding Present Scroll

This scroll was made as a wedding present. They will be able to insert the picture they wish into the scroll to hang. This is called Shashin/Hagake/Shikishi Kake style. It is done on occasion,  as an alternative to hang photos and pictures, and allows flexibility for the picture to be changed in or out. The colors were done to try and match the couples color scheme for the wedding. The off-white/eggshell seems to match pretty well, but I could not find a brighter blue to match the color, but did the best I could.
